paths into history
creating your walking adventure Exploring the fabled countryside around Rome is my long-time passion. Would you like to come along and share some of my discoveries? I’ll design a trip just for your party (one to six) with your choice of dates and itinerary. Tell me how many days you’d like, how ambitious you are as walkers, and what kind of lodging you prefer. Average cost for a 6-day trip is $1400-1500 per person, double room occupancy. There are affordable trips for single travelers too. The distance we walk is up to you, typically 5-8 moderately hilly miles daily. Our bags are shuttled, so we just carry knapsacks. We dine in wonderful restaurants and enjoy rustic picnics on the trail. Lodging may be in friendly small hotels, family B&Bs, charming old monasteries…or if you feel like splurging, unusual and elegant lodging options are available at additional cost. I spend each spring in Italy – we meet in Rome and hop a train out into the country. Other dates are possible by arrangement. Please browse my website and mail me your questions. I’ll help you plan exactly the trip you want, with an all-inclusive price. A $300 deposit will hold your dates (refundable until a month before your trip).
